Sunday's Sendoff
Today's muggy weather and storm clouds were the promise that sunset would most likely be quite a show, and it was!
This has been an enjoyable day. The storm clouds never produced any rain. I managed to get some home chores accomplished, but certainly nothing worth writing about. The most exciting moment happened when I arrived home from church and the grocery store and saw the official from the Army Corps of Engineers arrive to access the damage from this past Monday's fire in the parkland behind our house. Louie is the man from the Army Corps of Engineers and I had spoken with him back in June about the need to remove some of the excess growth out there. The excuse seems to always be "nesting birds." Last Monday the "nesting birds" were losing their habitat when the area caught fire. Today Louie assured us that some of the fire danger would be removed because house in this neighborhood are in danger. So we're hoping.
And a new week begins.
Good night from Southern California.
