Where there is a will, there's a way!

Dear Diary,

I just loved the light on Gaylord as he hung upside down to get the seeds in the feeder.  I seem to do a shot like this every year.  I can't understand how the blood doesn't rush to his head and make him dizzy!  He is never deterred by little inconveniences though, he is a squirrel of great determination!

Matt was able to finish the outside chores yesterday, which is a big relief.  Andrew had to put off mowing until this morning.  I just hope the rain holds off so he can get it done!  We are in for a streak of rainy weather so I hope he is able to pull it off otherwise the grass will be pretty high by the time things dry out.

Another bit of good news, I saw a robin in the yard yesterday!  The first one I've seen this year.  I was worried but I really shouldn't have been.  They were just a wee bit late this year.  I hope they build a nest near by.  Speaking of nests, I moved the gourd birdhouse to a more secluded spot in the lilac bush.  Fingers crossed that a tiny bird finds it just the right place to build a nest.  I even put some soft sheep wool in a net bag nearby to line the nest with so we'll see.
