I went to hear Robin Fisher's presentation on Wilson Duff, the archeologist.

I also met Chris Arnett. I enjoyed reading his books, "Terror of the Coast: Land Alienation and Colonial War on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, 1849-1863 "
and "Two Houses Half-buried in Sand" (A collection of writings about First Nations people and culture. Originally published in the pages of Victoria's, the Daily Colonist, the sixty stories that are the result of a unique collaboration between a middle-aged woman, Beryl Cryer and well-known Hul'q'umi'num'-speaking elders...)
