b) The photo is related to the specific human geography concept world cities which is a city deemed to be an important node point in the global economic system.  New York city in particular is one out of the 3 biggest world/global  cities in the world the remaining being Tokyo in Japan, and London in Great Britain. New York city is also part of The Megatropolis  being the area that goes down New York state to Washington which is a zone of relatively nonstop adjacent urban land.
