Leopard

We arrived at Sabi Sands in the Far East of South Africa near the Kruger National Park, just in time to go for the evening drive. We had seen 4 of the Big Five on a previous trip to Botswana, so at the top of our list is to see rhinos. So we went in search of rhinos. We didn't see them but we did see Cape Buffalo, elephants, kudu, impala, a giraffe and several types of birds and then our guide and tracker worked in unison to track down a female leopard. We found her eventually then lost her then found her again. Several times she walked past our open truck and simply glanced at us. Our guide knew that she has two 5 month old cubs and thought that she was on her way to them, but she remained alone while we watched her....but more of that tomorrow!
