Football Curse

So after retiring from football over a year ago due to having constant back injuries I played for my old team in the over 35's league last night.

I came on at halftime playing centre back and was really enjoying it and playing well and then.....boom! My back went out again!

The pain was intense so much so that I woke up around 4am unable to move in bed.

My old friends Cocodomol, diclofenic and tramadol made a reappearance and I had to cancel our volunteering stint at Parkrun this morning.

Trying to keep on the move though and after a major struggle getting out of bed, I walked to the shop for rolls then walked to the shopping centre and back.

It's eased off a bit or maybe that's just the painkillers kicking in.
