Back to basics

Another very efficient journey: let's hear it for small airports. Taxi at 6:30 a.m.; it took less than an hour to get to the airport, five minutes to get through security, so we had time for an English breakfast before boarding, thus compensating for lack of lunch (we were a little shocked at the fact that virtually all travellers except us were drinking beer at 7:30 in the morning though). And we were on the road within half an hour of touchdown in Girona.

Cat welcome: ecstatic. And we were very happy to see him too. I only got scratched twice while using a comb to remove the chunk of bird's nest firmly stuck to his tail (wonder what he'd been up to?). G, who had been feeding him, had of course not seen him at all, so goodness knows how long it had been there.

This addition to my door collection is courtesy of Lagrasse, where I went to drop off some choir posters. Off to catch up on some journals now!
