Can we get one of these??

What a great birthday, once again beautiful sunshine - we repeated the activities from the day before more or less: swimming pool, beach, meal out. Except the day started excitingly with us setting off the smoke alarm while cooking breakfast. Not too much bother you might think but all the other holiday appartments took it upon themsleves to evacuate the building and go and stand in the car park!! Apparently only one lady still in her dressing gown. Who would do that for goodness sake? The building is hardly likely to be on fire, is it?? (maybe this is an example of where I am too blase in my life)

And then home on the ferry - for future travellers on the Wight Link ferries, the St Clare is much nicer than the St Cecille. Still no duty free though....

Appropriately enough, the weather changed on the ferry, dark and gloomy. This was the last of my summer trips, jaunts and excursions. It has been a brilliant summer!!
