Open Mosque day

Today was Open Mosque day in Victoria. The vicar and I took a group from church to visit a local mosque. They worship in a fairly run down house, but hope to be able to raise the funds to build a moderate sized mosque.

It was very informative and fun. I tried on a hijab and laughed with the women. This photo shows one of our parishioners talking with a Muslim gentleman. It was also encouraging to see Jewish people taking the opportunity to meet Muslims and learn about their faith.
