Faded glory

I often struggle with backgrounds for blips like this. I sat down with a cup of tea to recharge my batteries when I noticed that these flowers were directly in line with the (off)TV. A bit of judicious re positioning and cropping has given me the perfect black background! Why did I never think of this before?
I think tulips are my favourite cut flowers  but I do look forward to when they start to go over as they take on different shapes and colours.
