What shortage?

I heard there was a shortage of sparrows - well, if you're missing some they're all in my tree!
This tree is just outside my window and they love it (as do the blue tits, coal tits, great tits, robins, blackbirds, nuthatches ........) There were over 20 sparrows in it this morning (very noisy!).
