Welcome

I bought this cheery pot to put by the front door to welcome our weekend visitors. I bought a hanging basket too, but it needs to flower a bit more before it is worth blipping.
The birthday weekend continues. My sister and b-I-l left this morning for their slow journey home to Bristol, two trains to London, coach ride to Bristol then a car drive out into the Somerset countryside.
Meanwhile Normous and I went to the Golf Club where there was a lunch for the three past captains who have 80th birthdays this year. A very convivial lunch with lots of congratulations for the birthday boys.
Now we are home. I've watered the garden after a few days' neglect. Everything is very dry.
