SUNDAY
Having seen reports on Twitter about several sightings of Marsh Harriers we trailed forty-odd miles on the M62 and M1 to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's reserve near Doncaster.
By the time we got there the sun had disappeared and the sky was grey and threatening. We saw robins, ducks, geese, gulls, swans and moorhens aplenty. Also a crested grebe, an oystercatcher, cormorants, robins and little egrets but they were all too far away to photograph in any detail.
So here's a squirrel.
