Green light

Smooth trip home, including an upgrade between Florence and Amsterdam. Same seats, but more legroom, and marginally better food. And somehow it's quieter at the front of the plane. I was glad to be first off, as I had to quick march through the passport control to my next flight, which was slightly delayed but still got me back to Edinburgh on time.

Sunny here, and sunny there in Florence first thing. Apparently it's raining cats and dogs again now. They should be here for the Scottish summer instead - much better!

Happy to be home and to see the new floor in all its glory. The painters arrive tomorrow.

And so happy to hear that President Macron got the green light from the French electorate.
