Sockets

My 'new' house, 20 years old in comparison with a 200 yr old farm cottage, did not have many sockets. I had lots of multi socket extension leads, too many dangling wires all with potential hazards.
So this weekend has been socket time! A total of 24 new ones, all at heights I can reach easily without having to get down on hands and knees, and/or under furniture. Eight above the desktop might seem excessive but who knows what I might want to add in the future?
Of course, it might be that there is no electricity at all or that we don't need sockets to access it.
