An unexpected visitor

I spent the early part of the morning ... from 8am ... waiting for my car to be serviced. I don't mind waiting ... read the papers, watch the news, read my book, have a cuppa, chat to folk who are also waiting. I was on my way by 10.30 having needed a new tyre .... not a surprise!

I pass the Heritage Park in my way home so I nipped in for a quick walk. I've seen many different waterfowl up at the loch but this was my first sighting of an oystercatcher standing at the water's edge. I see plenty of these birds on the Elie beach but they are very easily spooked and take off at the slightest sign of a human approaching.  This one wasn't really bothered by me and my camera.
