Ickworth House

We visited Ickworth House today which is a National Trust property near Bury St Edmunds, it was built by the 4th Marquis of Bath between 1795 and 1829. The park it is set in has many good walks which kept us busy for a couple of hours. we then went round the House and spent a long time in the servants quarters and the Kitchens which are in the basement. The NT have really done a good job portraying these areas as they would have been in the 1930s. This shot is of the Rotunda for which the House is known, unfortunately the NT had put up a couple of "sales" tents on one side of the lawn so a wide angle shot was not possible.
