Kitchen Wall

This picture was taken in the home of an artist.
Every other wall in the house is used to display many different pieces of art from a very diverse set of artists.  That is just as it should be.

But the only thing hanging on this wall is a single, utilitarian, piece of fabric that speaks to me from the happy grilled-cheese smells my childhood to the awful maturity of watching my mother slowly get thinner as the cancer claimed more and more of her. 

It's almost unfair that an old bit of cloth can make me cry.
