over the weekend cobham village had its' heritage day and amongst its' attractions is to bet on the winner of a duck race. 6,000 plastic ducks are released onto the river and this year they decided to go down the olympic route by painting some of the ducks bronze, silver and gold, naming them on the underneath with the appropriate medal winner. with just metres to go to the finish line, a bronze coloured duck was well in the lead but it then got caught in an eddy which allowed a gold coloured one to shoot through to sneak the victory. the name of the winning duck - usain bolt!!
