Happy Liberation Day

Today is Liberation Day in Jersey, 72 years since the end of the Nazi Occupation of the Channel Islands. There were celebrations down in town plus a service of thanksgiving and a re-enactment of when the Union Jack was flown once again from the Pomme D'or Hotel. We went down to looking for a blip opportunity amongst the entertainment at the Weighbridge.
It was absolutely mobbed, so not easy to photograph anything. Fortunately we waited around for a few minutes longer and we were rewarded with the female trio of Optimistic Voices performing songs from the era.
