Bluebell woods

My friends Joan and Marion joined me for a walk at Chatelherault country park today. The woods were full of swathes of bluebells, red campion, wind garlic and many other flowers. The River Avon was very low , with rocks ,normally below water, standing tall , bleached by the sun of the last week. Progress has been made on the fish ladder , but the river is so low, it seems hard to believe there are many fish about.
