Sliced and Diced????

Everything has passed in a blur, I saw the hip specialist on Friday. He was horrified that I had managed to walk since the injury and with not as much as a by your leave I was howked onto the trauma theatre list today.

Suffice to say there is only a 50 50 chance today's surgery will work but the time issue made it a now or never attempt. Those of you who know me will know will know I'm not a gambler in that sense but this was a risk worth taking so here is a "selfie" once I was drawn on

Back on the ward now and feel like I have been hit by a truck but I'm not complaining

So much criticism is levelled at the NHS but I have had nothing but exceptional care and treatment for which I'm truly thankful
