My wedding ring

Yes, it's a big cliché, but I didn't get a better idea during the three hour power cut we had here in Akureyri today (caused by lots of broken utility poles in the north of the country). While I was lighting a few candles in the living room and kitchen I remembered those pictures I'd seen so often when browsing blogs online and decided to use candlelight as my light source.
I might have used another book - or another page - if I was to do it again. I just grabbed one old book from the shelf and opened it near the middle. Didn't even glance at the text, so maybe it could have been more appropriate :)
But I'm happy to get the engraving in focus. "Þinn Daníel" means "Yours Daníel".

The weather has been HORRIBLE here today!
Very windy and snowing too - yes, snowing! And it's only September 10th. Here are a few photos my friend Linda took in her neighbourhood here in Akureyri this morning. Apparently we have skipped spring and autumn this year since there has only been freezing winter and very warm summer... very weird.
