Painting....no!

I thought it would be straightforward and then I looked again at the power point which has annoyed me for many years as it was never properly recessed. So I though it would be a simple task to remove it, cut out a bit of brick/stone and refit. Wrong.......The wall can was completely rusted out and the back of the face plate had also suffered deterioration! So it all had to be replaced and I lost some plaster as well, just to make it more interesting - so more to do before paint can be applied. Why did I start on this refurbishment I wonder.........
