LICHEN:

We are so dry here in Wanaka & yet I have this lichen growing on some of my branches. Is it a kind of fungus ? This is looking across the garden, which I hardly ever show you. A few of the maples still have their leaves, while other trees are quite bare. You can see what a miserable day it is with fog well down, grey & overcast.
