We went to a friend's house today for their daughter's birthday. She turned 3.

It was mostly adults and a few children, so not a proper kids birthday party (thankfully). But they did have some party games, and Elizabeth won pass the parcel both times! She still doesn't know that the medal she won is actually chocolate.

She is such a confident and assertive girl these days (cannot be related to me!)

My mum arrived for a visit, Elizabeth said to her "can you get... pfft... you don't know what I want... I'll get it myself!" and she came back with the dustpan and brush. She wanted to sweep the stones off the path.

She is demanding things a lot, and we get a bit of hands on hips with it! I'm trying to teach her to ask for things nicely.

At the same time, she's getting good at saying sorry when she has done something wrong. Like when she poured the juice from her tumbler into her teeny toy tea cup, and it went everywhere. It very much stopped me getting angry at her, so it totally worked!
