Jack's back!

Things didn't quite go to plan today ....... it was one of those days! Lots of silly things just didn't go right this morning ...... nothing major but definitely niggling!

Big Sis picked me up then we went to collect Mum ...... we were going for a 'cuppa' & sticky bun as it's my birthday. We went to a large department store nearby & while Big Sis was choosing some bedding Mum & I had a wander round the furniture. We had quite a laugh ..... as we are both rather 'vertically challenged' & most of the settees are made for giants almost every one we tried had us sitting with feet in mid air & yards of space behind us!

On the way out after our visit to the cafe we spotted a settee that looked to be made for 'little people' ....... both Mum & I sat down ....... made to measure & sooo comfortable! Mum fell in love with it & decided she would like it for her little flat ...... so we contacted Eldest sister .... as she is the one organising most of it. All in all a good afternoon :-)

Hubby was planning to take me out for a birthday dinner ...... rang to book a table only to be told they were closed for refurbishment! Should have known with how the morning went!

We decided instead to have a takeaway from our favourite Chinese ...... Hubby went off to fetch it ....... & found that they were closed on a Tuesday ..... so we gave up & ate at home!
