Ferrying To Vashon

Not this ferry, but the one from which I shot today's photo. Not living here, I can post beautiful photos of the incredible scenery without worry of people flocking to the area. Another super sunny day in the Emerald City that is Seattle, WA caused us to take the day off from working on our son's house for a trip to Vashon Island, a quick 20 minute ferry ride from West Seattle. We drove the length of the island, stopping to hike to Pt. Robinson lighthouse, view boats at the Burton marina, and consume coffee and homemade blueberry pie at Vashon Coffee Roasters. A nice change of pace from all our physical labor.
