Backdoor toady

Oh dear, so many backblips but I shall start with today's.  

Poking my nose out of the back door this evening and relishing the few scant drops of rain  before locking up I nearly trod on this little chap who slowly scrambled out of the way.  Every house I have lived in in this country has had a backdoor toad - do they like our company perhaps,  or are they looking for that fairytale princess.....
