With Adam now in Australia (although gallivanting at a conference in Montreal) and Ruth singing in a choir, it left Jackie, Lorna and I from our old biology course gang to meet after work in London to eat and chew the fat.

On the train down a woman called her partner to start warming up the soup so that all she'd need to do on returning was 'add the sorrel'. Only on the Cambridge train would this ever be overheard.
