flying solo...

...high in the sky

over my head

out of reach - in the clouds - nearly out of focus - almost

yet, i managed to get off a shot - just 2 of them - of this 1 gull flying by itself - no leader to follow on this day - a strange sight to see - one lone gull soaring high amongst those clouds - perhaps that's why i was drawn to it - why i am posting again even though i posted gulls - just the day before yesterday - but i don't care -

because you see there's a story here - about being alone and being able to hold yourself - strong & sure even when no one else is around you - when you're unable to draw strength from the energy of - someone standing next to you - you must have the wherewithal to stand firm in your own right - to 'fly solo' as this lone gull is having to do here - it makes me wonder if he was forgotten - or if he was lagging behind because he got distracted - how i can relate to that - i can easily be distracted myself from the task at hand - here though he appears focused with wings outstretched - beautiful and lovely wanting to get to his destination - focus is a good thing when you have to go it alone - it contributes to building strength, endurance and also leads to...
