If you are a certain age, like me, you'll maybe remember a sensation surrounding a story book, Masquerade. The beautifully illustrated story book contained clues to hidden, buried, gold treasure, a golden hare if I recall.
Some 30+ years on, I had the chance to meet the artist and author Kit Williams today, as he 'opened' the clock/scuplture he designed for a Cheltenham shopping arcade, which has finally been restored and fully finished to his design, by new owners of the centre.
He turned out to be a lovely chap, this portrait isn't posed, it's just his animated conversation.
