Nostalgia and where is Mr Sunshine?

It rains a lot in Cornwall. When we were living in Edinburgh for six months in the winter, Ann only had to wear her big long raincoat once. We haven't even been back in St Ives for a month yet and already she's worn her raincoat three times?! Boohoo.

After my morning rainy walk I had to have home alone snooze time while Ann did cleaning, grocery shopping, taking stuff to charity shops, etc, etc. Does anyone else have a load of stuff in their loft that they're saving just in case? …...............Just in case of what?

Apparently it's time to be ruthless and de-clutter. And hopefully make a bit of money in the process. We have Toby Jugs, crystal decanters and a lot of Enid Blyton books to sell if anyone is interested? Oh and we also have the first twelve issues of 'Company' magazine (from 1978) and looking on Ebay they're selling for about £15 each. Really??!!

Some things though, are too sentimental to throw out, like photograph albums and all the O Grade & Higher Exam papers that Ann took in the 1970s. Looking at them now she can't believe how clever she was back then?! OK she was never a 'straight A student' (and some of them she failed) but looking at them now................ she wouldn't be able to pass any of them. She's going to show them to her very lovely niece, Emma, who is doing an A level in 'modern history'. Apparently modern history is about stuff that happened in the 1970s. No, that's not history – that's just life!!!

Anyway, I trotted around this afternoon in the rain and this is the only photo Ann took so this will have to do for my Blip today.

Hope you've all had a less rainy day than us. Xx

PS – Also found the photo of Ann with 'Jimmy Saville' (see extras), two seconds before he stuck his tongue down her throat?! Don't worry Blippers; the experience hasn't left her traumatised – she boasted about it for 40 years before she realised she'd been abused. Lol!
