I Predict A Storm

I really want a storm here in Muscat. How long has it been now since we last had one? About 1 year? This morning's sky was extremely grey and dull, however as it got to the afternoon, much to my disappointment, the sky was (no surprise) clear and blue. Forecasts say it's due to rain some time this week...which over here in Oman, could mean 3 months from now. Anyway I hope it doesn't rain next week because that's the date of my party!

School today was really funny. In English our new teacher read us a few of her 'favourite childhood monologues'. And much to the whole classes ammusement, she decided to read them in the accents that go with them. So for example, she read the first one in a Blackpool accent, which had us in fits because her talking voice is sort of posh. The second monologue she had to read with lots of ennunciation and sounded like a typical nursery teacher (she was supposed to sound like that). And for the rest of the lesson she started calling everyone'lovies' which was, I have to admint, quite disturbing and embarassing. She's a great teacher though-I can't deny that, however it's only my 2nd lesson with her and my friend Aalia and I have already picked out the really WEIRD things about her.
