By rights this should be a photo of my lunch companions. Or at the very least the one who had arranged it to celebrate qualifying as a teacher. And I did take a lovely photo of her with a lovely looking drink with every intention of blipping it. But then the food arrived and it got relegated. On the left we have a hopper and on the right a dosa. Accompanied by black pork and okra and plaintain curries and various chutneys and sauces. Earlier there had been some incredible spicy calamari and a lentil dish. Oh, and an aubergine side. For anyone ever in town it is a Sri Lankan restaurant called Hoppers and is very highly recommended.
Everything else has been splendidly mundane. Another lesson with his class for the boy which went well. A fun, relaxed day for the girl following the end of SATS, marred only by the need to point out to her teachers that there really wasn't any need to split them up for a boy movie (Secret Life of Pets) and a girl movie (Thumbelina). Mainly I love the teachers but sometimes they make me want to weep.
And now a chilled evening watching the Chelsea game and playing word games* together; the upside of Anna being full of cold is a cancellation of activities and need to drive around on a Friday night.

*so far various A-Zs and I could go to the moon.
