Cliffs of Moher

I've had a good day today, though W might not agree.

We decided to visit The Cliffs of Moher.  Despite the forecast, the rain held off all day, and first we walked along the top for a mile or so.  I enjoyed it, but sadly W was not very happy, as he not only doesn't like heights for himself, but also finds it stressful to see others apparently putting themselves at risk on a cliff edge (as you can see in the photo).

We then decided to view the cliffs from below, and drove up to Doolin Pier, where we got a trip on a boat.  Again, an unfortunate choice for W, who found that although from the shore it appeared quite calm, there was sufficient swell to upset his vertigo.

I didn't manage to see any puffins.

As we drove back to the apartment, the rain started.  Good timing, I reckon.
