This is a pipit, a lovely meadow pipit, but it was intended to be a Puffin. We were booked on the all day Farne Island boat with the intention of seeing puffins ! It didn't happen due to the rough sea. The 3rd day the boats hadn't ventured out of the harbour leaving the boatmen without a payday. You may remember last year we went to Skomer and a similar plan was scuppered for the same reason.

Instead we had a good day walking the coast and seeing the nesting arctic terns and rare little terns. In extra is an arctic tern trying to attract a mate with his skill to provide food.

The other extra is the view through the harbour wall at Craster.
