Agios Ioannis Church

We picked up our friends who are staying in Elounda, Crete, and headed to Agios Ioannis Point to do walk 7 of Sunflower Eastern Crete Book of car tours and walks. It's a 3.5 mile walk from the church, surrounded by wind turbines, down to the abandoned derelict lighthouse and back up. Length wise it wasn't a long walk but on the slippery gravel path and 30C heat it was sweat inducing!

My thirst was quenched by a couple of pints of ice cold beer at The Hope Inn, Elounda, which induced a mild headache by the time we got back to the hotel at 6pm. A couple of hours later we enjoyed a salad at a local restaurant and a drink opposite in The Irish Sports Bar watching the Chelsea v West Brom premiership match whilst listening to requests played by their resident DJ.
