Birthday Boy

Our darling grandson Jackson, who lives about 45 minutes north of Vero Beach, had his eighth birthday today!  After we spent the morning and then had a lovely lunch out by the water with Mr. W's father, we drove to Palm Bay to spend a few happy hours with Jackson, open presents, eat cake and ice cream, and enjoy spending time with your favourite eight year-old. 

One of the gifts we gave him was this Lego set, which he was thrilled to receive -- I'm not sure his mom was so happy at the thought of stepping barefoot on any of the 746 pieces included, though!  Can't believe he's already 8 ... time is flying by way too fast!
