Sad Ol' Sunday

While browsing through other people's lives on Sunday morning, I came a cross a notification for the birthday and a photo of a former girlfriend. And with typical FB curiousity, I clicked on it to see how she was looking now and what she was up to.

It was with horror that I read the attached comments describing her death in May. Seems she fell, hit her head and died from the injuries. Awful.

It may have been nearly 20 years since we had our dalliance, but I've always remembered her fondly. I really feel for her family, having to deal with such a tragic loss.

Later, in the day, I was out and about, strolling through a garden centre, feeling quite distracted and down, when I came across these sunflowers and was immediately reminded of Aisling.

She certainly had a way of lighting up a room. She was many things, but one thing she won't be, is forgotten.
