So pristine

I am always fascinated by seagulls.  They are such scavengers yet always appear clear eyed, snowy white and sharp as a tack (whatever that means).
When our eldest son was 11 years old he read "Jonathan Livingstone Seagull" and was mesmerised.  He and his siblings bought me a tiny gold seagull on a chain for Mothers Day, which I have worn around my neck ever since (44 years). When asked if I would rather be an owl or a seagull, I felt drawn towards the seagull soaring high and free - but then wisdom can't be ignored, can it? Just one of the dilemmas in life. So, today my Blip is simply a seagull, but it has made me think again.
