Leucistic Birds .
A You Tube contact in UK informed me of such, some time ago . UK has had sightings for quite a while . Leucism is not the same as Albinism .A genetic mutation it seems to most occur in dark feathered birds and doesn't affect the eye colour . Blackbirds , Carrion Crows , Jackdaws .I noted one of my 'Out Of Towner' Carrion crows had some white .Then these last weeks I've seen the above male blackbird .Seems happy and healthy and I spot each day but bird organizations are worried it could stop birds finding mates , make them harder to identify and put them at risk as the bright white makes them more visible to prey.
