The Statue
Walking past the Cenotaph in our town this morning made me stop and study this statue more closely. It's a fine example of a soldier and reminded me of a book I'm reading at the moment - 'The Rose of Sebastopol'. It's actually about the Crimean War, of which I knew very little.
I decided to try and merge the picture on the cover of the book with this shot of the soldier, using my newly acquired skills from the course I'm doing. Needless to say, I haven't managed it!! For one thing, I use a PC at the Course and have a Mac at home. Also, with the holiday, I seem to have forgotten everything I learned! Or, maybe I'm just too thick to understand these layers etc!! ( Don't answer that!!)
