Home via Glasgow
The drive through from Edinburgh to Glasgow was so quick that we decided to make an unscheduled stop in Glasgow.
We more or less wandered down and back up Buchanan Street calling in at the Buchanan Galleries (shopping mall).
Had a look round the Lighthouse (Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture).
Exhibition - SAMPLE by Collect Scotland (Scottish printed textile design) was on in gallery 1.
What an excellent exhibition.I have put a link to Beachcomber's journal to let you see some more of the beautiful designs on show.
Then we drove home.
When we reached Mid Argyll we made a quick detour for tea and cake at The Kilmartin Museum cafe where we sat and enjoyed the view down the line of cairns in the floor of the glen. Then it was just the last 60 or miles home, with the sea views on the West side of Kintyre on the final 30 miles or so.
