Bouncing Balls!
We were invited to Charlotte and Chris's Project for the weekend, with Tamzin, Mr W and a few other friends of Charlotte and Chris.
Alan and I left quite early as we wanted to have a slight detour to the Cotswolds. The detour turned out to take longer than planned due to a section of the M4 being closed, but we arrived at Bourton on the Water by lunchtime. It's so pretty there, and it's been a long time since I was last there, that I've said to Alan I'd like to go back for a weekend at some point.
We had our picnic by the little stream that runs through the village, and were accompanied by a duck who's obviously used to being fed, and then we had a wander before setting off for The Project.
When we arrived, everyone else was already there, so we had a quick tour and then joined them for a drink. Chris had devised a game, which involved driving his tractor and trailer round the garden and then you had to reverse it back into a certain spot. If you couldn't reverse, there was a forfeit and you had to jump on a space hopper - it was so funny! I didn't realise how difficult it was to reverse a trailer and ended up going round the garden twice as I kept jack knifing it! In the end I gave up and did the forfeit which was much easier! Then we had a race on the space hoppers and here you have Alan and Mr W!
It's been a brilliant afternoon/evening of laughter, drinks and good food with lovely friends. Thank you Charlotte and Chris for your hospitality. We love The Project and can't wait to come back when it's finished - if you'll have us!
