I have a real soft spot for

Greystones, Co Wicklow

When I was a child my father brought my mother and 4 kids out for the Sunday spin every week. Amongst the places - Enniskerry, Blessington, Boyne Valley, Skerries - Greystones was my favourite.

In summer we always took a picnic. My father would bring us into a hotel afterwards for a mineral - he would have a pint of stout, my mother a babycham and we kids got our one fizzy drink of the week.

My blip is of the new little crepe place - but I am seated next door in the Beach House having the Sunday Roast. The food here is good.
