In The Occupied Territory

On the beat

Back on duty at the art show at lunchtime, then nipped over to Fraserburgh to get some shopping for tonight's dinner, which I am about to cook after doing this, then back to the show to pick up my entries, and help with the tidying up. None of mine sold, in fact only one photo entry sold from the whole show. A good few paintings and craft stuff was purchased by people, so that was good.
This is the only picture I took, and I snapped it in the early hours of this morning. The cop on the left is Brian Irvine, and Aberdeen Football legend. Bought by Alex Ferguson from part time at Falkirk, he was working in a bank at the time, he became a stalwart of our team for years, scoring the final penalty that won us the Scottish Cup, the last time it was in our possession. he also got several international call-ups.
He became beat cop last year at the ripe old  young age of 52.
