Garden Pickings

Overnight the wild winds and heavy rain has battered the garden, so am very glad I picked a little posy last night while it was still and dry. They're sitting on our mantlepiece but I experimented photographing them in a different spot, where there was more light. Then added two further sources of light, using little torches. Quite pleased with the effect, even if the arrangement leaves much to be desired. (The vase is really too tall for such short stems.)

Thank you so much for lovely comments, stars and hearts for my yesterblip of the early foxgloves. Wonder how they've held up in this wind? Forecast suggests we've three days of this before the sun returns.
