Busy day ......

....... but we still managed to fit in a walk this afternoon :-)

We hurried through the jobs this morning ...... then had to go buy some bird food ...... they are eating us out of house & home at the moment!

We then called to see my brother & take a couple of things for Mum ..... for when she moves ...... still no news as to when yet as we are waiting for the paperwork to come through!

Then it was off to Westgate Wood for a walk ...... mostly in the sunshine ..... though there were a few times when the sun disappeared behind some rather menacing clouds! Thankfully it stayed dry :-)

We saw several butterflies ....... including a Brimstone, Orange Tip & also this Green Veined White ..... who was good enough to pose for me ..... though unfortunately not against the best backdrop! :-)

We then saw this Sedge Warbler ..... it was quite a long way off so the image is quite heavily cropped .... we saw & heard a Reed Bunting ...... lots of Goldfinches ...... we also spotted a Kestrel hunting for it's supper :-)
