Red Darter
Ok, I'm no Vodkaman, but it does give me some idea of the thrill of the safari that is his daily life!
This is, I think, a common darter, Sympetrum striolatum, spotted in large numbers at work, this afternoon.
Extremely common.
After the initial spot, there was not a lot of gardening done until after I felt I had had enough of running around after dragon shots. These guys don't pose for photos! One or two shots and they're gone.
So, no paddy fields, no jungle margins, just a bit of cleared pine plantation and a lovely sunny afternoon.
And a lot of respect, Dave!
